Tanuma Body is a second generation business ran by the Kawamori family. The Automotive service & sales center is located in the beautiful Japanese city of Fujieda in the Shizuoka prefecture south of Tokyo. With decades of experience in collision repair, refinishing, engine building, auction services, and car customizing Tanuma Body has built its reputation on quality work and careful attention to the needs of their customers.
Tanuma body is ran today by competitive drifter Kawamori Eisuke. Eisuke San can often be found working hard tuning Drift machines, customizing cars, and creating fantastic suspension and performance gear in Parts Shop MAX adjacent to the body shop. Both shops are adorned with the image of the mascot Turbo-Kun and a selection of the the most exciting Japanese cars. Parts Shop MAX’s unique specialty parts for drift machines were successfully debuted in the USA two years ago with the opening of a sister shop stateside.
In response to building a relationship with the strong community of Japanese car enthusiasts in the US, the talented crew in Japan at Tanuma Body in conjunction with their sister shop in the US presents a variety of prepaired bodies that are literally a dream come true for do-it-yourselfers. Tanuma does this by creating a platform within the American importation guidelines and within US environmental and safety regulations to bring you a remanufactured kit body that can be registered and driven in the USA when you combine the kit body with an EPA approved motor set sourced in the USA and any additional components from other venders.
The Tanuma Body is supplied without drivetrain and other non comforming gear, but is retrofitted with the proper engineering to safely tackle a new life on the the American Highway.
